IndyCar 2023 season review: Team Penske
Three drivers from Team Penske had solid performances in the 2023 IndyCar Championship. Scott McLaughlin, the newcomer from Supercars, had an impressive transition and consistently finished in the top positions. If not for a late-race crash, his results could have been even better. Josef Newgarden had moments of struggle, but his win at the Indianapolis 500 was a highlight of the year. Will Power, the defending champion, faced personal challenges but still managed to perform well and stood on the podium multiple times. Overall, Team Penske had a solid year, but they couldn’t challenge Alex Palou and Chip Ganassi Racing for the title. Moving forward, McLaughlin is expected to have a strong performance in 2024, especially on ovals.
